BETHEL, CT — A new pet urgent care hospital in Bethel is expected to open soon.
Bethel Veterinary Hospital announced this week that its new privately owned Animal Urgent Care Hospital is set to open in December 2026 and is now hiring veterinarians, veterinary technicians and assistants for its founding team.
The facility is planned for the former Wells Fargo building at 81 Stony Hill Road in the Bethel Shopping Center, according to earlier town approval and reporting on the project.
Plans approved earlier this year called for remodeling the former bank to include examination rooms, an operating room, an X-ray suite and a pharmacy housed inside the former bank vault.
The urgent care facility will be operated by Bethel Veterinary Hospital and is intended to provide veterinary urgent care services separate from the practice's existing hospital operations.
The hospital said it is seeking full-time, part-time and per diem veterinarians, as well as full- and part-time veterinary technicians and assistants.
