β’ Bethel football opens season with 34-14 win over Bassick in Bridgeport program's SWC debut (newstimes.com) β Bethel High's football team kicked off the season strong, rolling to a 34-14 win over Bassick and showcasing a now-experienced junior core. The Wildcats jumped out to a 34-0 halftime lead behind quarterback Thomas Bornn and standout freshman Khalil Hunt, and they'll bring that momentum home when they host East Haven next Friday night at 7 p.m.
