BETHEL, CT — Bethel officials are urging residents to refrain from outdoor burning as high fire danger continues amid dry conditions.
The town shared a warning from Bethel Emergency Management and the Fire Marshal's Office stating that fire danger is high and is expected to remain that way until the area receives rain.
"Burn Permits are invalid — please refrain from any outdoor burning," officials said.
The warning also noted that no rain was expected in the coming week.
Residents are being asked to avoid outdoor burning while the elevated fire risk persists.
