Bethel Approves Affordable Housing Downtown
Three units out of the twelve that are going up at 10 Nashville Road Extension are categorized as "affordable."

BETHEL, CT — The Planning and Zoning Commission approved an affordable housing proposal at their Tuesday evening meeting.
Developers Codfish Hill Construction and DeMarco Holdings got the go-ahead to build three units out of the twelve that are going up at 10 Nashville Road Extension as "affordable."
"The Commission has carefully considered the application with regard to the project's location, density, architecture, and site design and have determined that this affordable housing project will not imperil the health, safety and welfare of the community," the minutes stated.

In 2007, the town filed a Plan of Conservation and Development which encouraged affordable housing in the downtown area.
