Bethel Arts Opens Submissions for 2026/27 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition Downtown

The outdoor sculpture exhibition, titled "We the People," will be displayed on the lawns of the Municipal Center and Bethel Public Library.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel Arts is now accepting submissions from regional sculptors for its 2026/2027 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition. The exhibit will be located in downtown Bethel on the lawns of the Municipal Center and the Bethel Public Library. This marks the fifth outdoor sculpture exhibit organized by Bethel Arts.

The exhibition is titled "We the People - Sculptural reflections on Independence, identity and community." It is being held in conjunction with the Bethel planning committee for the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence.

Bethel Arts encourages participants to explore the themes of independence, identity, and community in their three-dimensional interpretations. The organization aims to foster a space for dialogue and artistic expression that welcomes everyone. Submissions are encouraged to focus on individual, cultural, or creative interpretations rather than political or partisan commentary.
