Bethel Charter Revision Committee to Hold 2nd Public Hearing

In October 2018, ​the Board of Selectmen charged the Charter Revision Committee to propose changes to the Charter of the Town of Bethel.

Bethel, CT— The town Charter Revision Committee will hold its second public hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, General Purpose Room, Bethel Municipal Center at 7 p.m.

In October 2018, the Board of Selectmen charged the Charter Revision Committee to propose changes to the Charter of the Town of Bethel, the town's governing document.

Over the last eleven months the Charter Revision Committee has held a public hearing and monthly meetings to review, hear and discuss proposed changes. Changes range from technical changes to the charter and the governing process.

"Public input is vital to this process and we extend an invite to all Bethel residents to participate in
the public hearing and provide an opportunity to articulate any changes to the charter," town officials said in a release.
