Press release:
Macaroni Kid Danbury-Bethel-Ridgefield (www.danbury.macaronikid.com) has donated over $1,400 in cash, toys and books for Family & Children’s Aid in Danbury – an organization that provides behavioral and mental health care for over 1,400 children a month in the Greater Danbury area and their families.
The donation is a result of the First Annual Macaroni Kid Birthday Bash, an event held last month at the Danbury Sports Dome -- an indoor, state-of-the-art, multi-sport, corporate

The birthday-themed event was organized by Macaroni Kid Danbury-Bethel-Ridgefield, now in its 5th year of providing the scoop on all the family-friendly events and activities happening in our community each week. The event showcased local businesses that provide products or services related to planning children’s birthday parties such as party venues, entertainers, bakeries, décor and more. Hundreds of children and families came to take part in the event enjoying various kids’ activities and featured entertainment. In lieu of admission, each family donated $10 or brought an unwrapped toy, game or book for Family & Children’s Aid. Many guests also purchased raffle tickets to benefit the charity for a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses in attendance.
The donation will be used to help furnish a brand new resource center, recently opened at Family & Children’s Aid Child Guidance Center on West Street.

The toys, games and books will be put to immediate use in the game room and newsstand while the cash donation will allow us to purchase several additional items like sports equipment, coats, hats and gloves to help complete the resource center.”
