Bethel Finance Board Sharpens Pencil, Examines Budgets
The town and capital budgets were voted down last week probably due to the cost of the new turf field.

BETHEL, CT — The proposed $29.8 million town budget and $2.3 million capital budget failed in last week's referendum, so the Bethel Finance Board is sitting down Tuesday night in an attempt to craft something voters will like.
The $45.1 million school spending plan passed., and will likely remain intact. The big ticket item in the failed proposals is new turf at the high school’s DeSantis Field.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room A of the municipal center.
