Bethel Firefighter Frees Young Girl Stuck in Shopping Cart

The firefighter acted quickly to free the girl from the ordeal.

BETHEL, CT — Bolt cutters were needed to free a young girl from a shopping cart at Carluzzi's Bethel Food Market on Greenwood Avenue in Bethel Sunday.

Firefighters responded to the scene Sunday, and Lt. F.J. Oldham quickly grabbed the set of bolt cutters to free the young girl from the cart.

Luckily, the child was unharmed and was "all smiles" after the incident, according to the Bethel Fire & EMS Facebook Page.
