Bethel Health Dept. Offers Moderna COVID-19 Booster Shot

The Bethel Health Department is now offering Moderna booster vaccines against COVID-19 at the Municipal Center.

BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Health Department is now offering Moderna booster vaccines against COVID-19 at the Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center. Vaccines are administered in the General Purpose Room.

Residents may make an appointment by calling the Health Department hotline at 203-794-8530. The hotline is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Walk-ins are also welcome, on a first come, first served basis.

The booster clinic is open 9:00 a.m. to 1:00pm, and 4:00pm to 7:00 p.m., Nov. 17, 23 and 30.

To be eligible for the Moderna booster, you must be aged 65 or older, aged 18-64 at high risk of COVID-19, or aged 18-16 with institutional or occupational exposure to COVID-19.

The Pfizer vaccine, which is not offered at the Bethel clinic, is available for children ages 5 and up. To find a location, visit the state vaccine webpage.
