Bethel High School Theater and Music Departments Present Mary Poppins

BETHEL, CT-- Just a spoonful of sugar, some petticoats and flying nannies is how this production will go down-- Mary Poppins, that is.

Bethel High School's music and theater departments present “Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical,”a musical based upon P.L. Travers book series and the 1964 Disney film. Music and lyrics are by the Academy Award-winning Sherman Brothers with additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Julian Fellowes is the script writer.
Bethel High School's version of the play is directed by choir teacher Karen Neville. The orchestra is conducted by band instructor Damon Coachman. Jenn Correnty and Kathryn Wichman are the choreographers.
Rachel Salvador stars as Mary Poppins with Max Dimeglio and Alyssa Schneider as the children she cares for. The chimney sweep is played by Mark Tully.
Performances are as follows:
- Friday, April 1 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, April 2, 2 p.m.
- Saturday, April 2, 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 3, 2 p.m.
Tickets are available at the door $10 for students and $12 for adults, Bethel High School, 300 Whittlesey Drive, Bethel.
