Coronavirus Bethel: Town To Hold Food Drive

The goal of the drive is to fill the Senior Center van with food.

Boxed pasta is the item in greatest demand. Other needs are sauce, shelf stable apple and grape juices, tea, canned corn, non-sugary cereal, tuna fish, peanut butter, jelly, small jars of mayonnaise and coffee.

BETHEL, CT — The Community Food Pantry and Brotherhood In Action will be holding a food drive on March 24 between 8 a.m. and noon. Town of Bethel Employees will be accepting donations in the parking lot of The Bethel Public Library.

The goal of the drive is to fill the Senior Center van with food. Donors will only need to drive up into the lot, there will be no need to exit your car.

Currently, Bethel has 189 households registered to utilize the food pantry, with 150 of the households in need of food baskets for the spring delivery in a few weeks.

Residents unable to drop of food who still wish to donate may bring non-perishable food items to Bethel Social Service office by appointment. Please contact Megan at 203-794-8537.
