Bethel Man Arrested For Strangulation, Assault After Dispute

John Rothe, 39 of Westview Drive, was arrested Monday at 4 p.m. at his residence. Earlier Monday, the Bethel Police received a report of a dispute that occurred Sunday evening with a female Rothe shares his residence with. Rothe was charged with strangulation in the second degree, assault in the third degree and interfering with an emergency call. He was released on $5,000 surety bond and due in court Tuesday.
