Bethel Man Charged With DWI In NY St. Patrick's Weekend Crackdown

New York State police in Troop K said they removed 26 impaired drivers from public roadways over the St. Patrick's Day weekend.

SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State police in Troop K said they removed 26 impaired drivers from public roadways over the St. Patrick's Day weekend. A Bethel man was among the accused.

On March 17, New York State Police arrested Denis Demiri, 30, of Bethel, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.
