Bethel Man Facing DWI Charge in New York After One-Car Crash

Police said the man's blood alcohol content was over three times the legal limit.

A Bethel man was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated in New York.

Troopers from the New York State Police responded to a one-car collision on the Taconic State Parkway on Monday around 11:40 a.m. An investigation revealed that Christian Grillo, 43 was traveling southbound and exited the roadway at the I-84 exit ramp.

Grillo’s blood alcohol content was over three times the legal limit, police said. Grillo was charged with felony driving while intoxicated when police determined he had been previously convicted of a DWI in 2014. He is scheduled to return to court on July 22.
