Bethel Man Sentenced in Home Invasion

The man broke into his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend's house, armed with a knife.

BETHEL, CT – Mark Benoit, 46, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years of special parole for home invasion Tuesday in Torrington Superior Court. The Bethel man had pleaded guilty to charges that he entered the New Milford home of his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend one night last June. Found in possession of a knife, duct tape, zip ties and rope, Benoit had to be tasered by police after he assaulted an officer.
