  • He graduated from the Army Air Force Bombardier School in Big Spring, Texas in 1944. He served as a navigator in Africa with the 455th Bomb Group of the 15th Air Corp during WWII. He received the silver cross, two presidential medals and the Armed Forces air medal. He flew over 50 missions in Italy. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1978 and passed away about 25 years ago.
