Bethel P&Z Approves Plans for New Police Station: Report

Police say the current station is too small, and floods when it rains.

BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Police Department has taken a step closer to a new home, reports the News Times.

The Bethel Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the site plan and special permit application for a 26,000 square foot station on Judd Road.

Police say the current station, which was built in 1974, is too small and floods during rain. Construction is expected to begin in the spring.
