Bethel Pizza Man's Skills are Flippin' Awesome

Bethel man's #PizzaLife videos are all the rage on the internet.

People are flipping over a young Bethel man’s pizza flipping skills.

Michael Drogalis, 22, works as Assistant Manager at Planet Pizza in Ridgefield and has worked there about 8 years, gaining many skills along the way. He got the idea to record videos of flipping pizzas after seeing his manager, Domenick Farago, do it occasionally to show his experience.

“I started simply just flipping a slice on the stick but eventually moved to flipping a slice into a box. I posted my first video flipping one slice into a box to lighten up the serious mood that Facebook and other social media platforms can take sometimes. People often think working in food service is more of a labor job and doesn’t require skill,” Drogalis said.

That video now has over 1,500 views. In the second video he flipped three slices into three boxes in one take. That has picked up over 7,000 views. And it’s helped business too,

“We started getting multiple mentions on phone orders from customers walking in that they want to see more so we got a little more technical in the third video by flipping slices through my legs or Domenick flipping an entire pizza. We think it’s a good way to show the light side of working in a restaurant and put a smile on people’s faces,” Drogalis said.
