Bethel Planners Reschedule Public Recycling Facility Forum
Due to the overflow of interested residents, the second public hearing on a proposed new recycling facility has been postponed.
BETHEL, CT— You'll have to wait until next month to have your say about the proposed wood recycling facility downtown.
The Planning & Zoning Commission was forced to reschedule Tuesday's public hearing due to an exceptionally large turnout of residents. The new time and date for the meeting is 7 p.m. on Feb. 11, in the Town's general purpose room.
All Regional Recyclers of Wood has proposed constructing a nearly 8,000-square-foot facility on its 104 Wooster Street property to sort and receive recycling materials. At the first meeting, some residents expressed concern over the impact the building would have on downtown, among other issues.
