Bethel Police Arrest Woman for DUI After Finding Her Asleep in Car at Park
Police found the Danbury woman sleeping with vodka and beer nearby at Meckaur Park in Bethel.

A 44-year-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2015 at 10:15 p.m. at Meckaur Park for Driving Under the Influence, according to a police report provided by Bethel Police Lieutenant Michael J. Libertini.
Police observed Zukiswa Nkonzombi-Daniels sleeping with a bottle of beer in between the front driver and passenger’s seats. They also observed two shooters of Smirnoff vodka outside of the vehicle on the ground by the driver’s side of the car. Police later found the same brand in her purse.
Nkonzombi-Daniels, of Shelter Rock Road, Danbury, refused to provide a breath sample but did perform a field sobriety test which she failed.

Nkonzombi-Daniels was released on $100 bond and is due in Danbury Superior Court on Oct. 22 to answer to the charge.
