BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Police Department is hiring. Non-Certified (Entry Level) applicants are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Valid Driver’s License
• At least 21 years of age as of September 2019
• U.S. Citizen
• Must not have tattoos on the face, head, hand, mouth or neck. Additional exposed tattoos subject to department policy review. Upon appointment, no new tattoos which are exposed while the employee is in uniform of the day.
• Must have CHIP Card (40th percentile)
• No felony, class 'A' or class 'B' misdemeanor convictions

Testing Requirements:

• CPCA Written Exam (75 percent or higher)
• Possible Additional Physical Agility Exam to be held by the Bethel Police Department

**Additional points to be given for Military Veterans and Education**

Anticipated salary range starts at $54,849-$78,363. Benefits include 25 year pension (60 percent; 70 percent at 30 years), 457 Deferred Compensation Program, Education Incentive, Tuition Assistance and Holiday Pay.
