After years of talk, the BPD is closer to their new home.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel police are inching ever closer to finally being in a new home, as construction is planned to begin this spring, reports the News Times.

The project's bid package will be distributed to interested firms within the next two weeks. The two-story building will be more than double the size of the department's current facility on Plumtrees Road.

The station will cover 2,600 square feet on Judd Avenue. Officials estimate that the project could begin in mid-April or early May.
