Bethel Police Warn of Car Break-Ins
Anyone in possession of residential video surveillance footage is encouraged to report any suspicious activity they observe.
BETHEL, CT — Police are warning residents to "lock it or lose it!" following several motor vehicle break-ins of unlocked cars.
"While our officers are working diligently to identify the persons responsible, we are requesting your help with preventing any further incidents," the PD posted on social media.

- Never keep any valuables inside your car unless you’re in it
- Hide or remove items such as phone chargers or smart accessories to prevent criminals from believing that your vehicle may contain an electronic device
- Remove loose change from visible compartments
- And most importantly… lock your vehicles!
Police urge anyone who suspects their vehicle may have been disturbed or broken into to not touch the vehicle, and instead contact Bethel Police immediately.
