Bethel Police Warn of Downtown Car Thieves
Bethel Police are warning downtown residents of several recent incidents of car thefts.

The Bethel Police Department is advising residents to lock their vehicles after several car thefts and attempts at car thefts occurred recently, according to a release.
They are investigating several recent incidents that took place in and around the downtown area of Bethel. Some of the incidents involved unlocked vehicles that had keys left inside prior to the theft. Police are encouraging all residents to lock their cars and advise not to leave keys in the car to warm it up before driving.
Police ask residents to report suspicious people or behavior to police immediately by calling (203) 743-5500.
