Bethel Ranked In Top Places To Live In Connecticut

The rankings were formed using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the CDC and resident reviews.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel was recently named the 73rd best place to live in Connecticut.

School and neighborhood ranking website Niche.com named the town the No. 73 place in the state to live for 2022, with West Hartford ranked No. 1, Southport No. 2 and Weatogue coming in third.

Niche creates its annual rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and CDC, combined with millions of resident reviews. The company considers factors such as diversity, public schools, affordability, housing market, nightlife and more.

Bethel won "A" grades each for its family-friendliness, outdoor activities and the health and fitness of its residents. When it comes to the best places for young professionals in the state to live, Bethel was ranked No. 67. It's No. 84 on Niche's list of best places to raise a family.

Niche scored Bethel's cost of living, housing and crime/ safety categories "B-."
