Bethel Readies New Tech Equipment For Remote Students
The public schools will issue remote-learning gear, including Google Chromebooks, to students who need it.
BETHEL, CT — The district will be handing out Google Chromebooks and other resources students need for distance learning as the new school year begins.
In a letter to families, Superintendent Christine Carver said students who will be distance learning full-time, as well as the members of academic Cohort B, should pick up their technology and supplies on Sept. 3 and 4. Cohort B is not scheduled for its first class until Thursday. Sept. 10, but the district wants to ensure the students have technology to attend Distance Learning on Tuesday and Wednesday, Carver wrote.
The district will make the determination regarding what students will need a school issued device to learn at home once parents provide updated demographic information through the school's Parent Portal.
