Bethel Relay for Life Benefit Concert to be Held Saturday, May 30

The event includes 9 bands, i95 jock Tim Sheehan and the award winning Gilleoghan Irish dancers, all to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Nine local bands, Irish dancers, face painters and volunteers from Bethel and surrounding towns will rally together on Saturday, May 30 to benefit the combined Bethel/Danbury/Brookfield/Redding Relay for Life. A ukulele with carrying case, gift cards from Silver Touch, Sesame Seed, Molten Java, Artist Chelsea Roman, local businesses, baskets and more will be raffled off to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Wendy, a 45-year-old Bethel mother of three, was recently diagnosed with Metaplastic Carcinoma, a very rare and aggressive type of cancer that only occurs in one percent of women compared to the other types which occurs in eighty percent.

The all-day benefit concert takes place on Saturday, May 30 from 12-9 p.m., rain or shine, at Greenwood’s Grille, 186 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Conn.
