Bethel Resident Arrested In New York Labor Day DWI Crackdown

New York State Police announced they took 4 impaired Connecticut residents off Hudson Valley roads over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

BETHEL, CT — New York State Police arrested 31 drivers in the Hudson Valley during their Labor Day weekend crackdown and charged them with driving while impaired. One, a Bethel, Connecticut resident, was also involved in a crash, police alleged.

On Sept. 2, New York state troopers arrested Jaime A. Sagastume-Villafuerte, 29, of Bethel, CT, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Patterson, when he was involved in a motor vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.

Other Connecticut residents caught in the crackdown were:

  • On Sept. 1, NY State Police arrested Richard C. Pavain, 36, of Seymour, CT, for DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, both class E felonies. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
  • On Sept. 1, New York State Police arrested Vincent A. Nagle, 48, of Ridgefield, CT, for DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
  • On Sept. 2, NY state troopers arrested Felix Lemus Perez, 28, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
