Bethel Residents Approve Completion of Police Department Firing Range

Bethel residents approved a referendum to appropriate $1.4 million to complete the firing range at the Bethel Police Department.

BETHEL, CT — Residents approved a referendum to appropriate $1.4 million to complete the firing range at the Bethel Police Department.

The referendum, held Tuesday, passed 468 votes to 295, the Bethel Registrar of Voters has reported.

The new police station was completed in October 2018, but the on-site firing range has remained unusable absent specialized air conditioning, heating systems and other equipment.
