Bethel Residents to Vote on Budgets
Some of the proposed capital expenditures include a new fire engine and a turf field for the high school.

BETHEL, CT -- Residents will vote this evening, Monday April 2, on whether to to send the proposed operating and capital budgets to a referendum. The $74.9 million operating budget includes $5.89 million in employee benefits and $4.5 million for the police. The capital budget includes $979,000 for a new turf field at the high school, and $660,000 to replace Bethel Fire Department Engine No. 6.
The budget meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Bethel High School auditorium and is open to the public.
