Bethel Restaurateur Charged with Sexual Assault of Employees
Local resident and restaurant owner to appear in court for allegedly sexual assaulting two employees.

Bethel restaurant owner Antonio Fernandes, 50, of Reservoir Street, Bethel, turned himself in to Bethel police on April 12 on an active arrest warrant for two counts of sexual assault in the first degree.
According to Bethel police, the warrant stems from an investigation after two former employees of Fernandes’ Tonelli’s Restaurant on Grassy Plains Street reported that he had sexually assaulted them.
Fernandes was released after posting $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on April 23.
