Bethel Schools, Police, to Offer Teen Drug Education Program
Called "Hidden In Plain Sight," the presentation will include a mock teen bedroom that challenges adults to find drug-related items.
BETHEL, CT — The school district, police, the Hero Project, and the Connecticut Association of Prevention Professionals are hosting a parent workshop designed to educate care givers on teen drug abuse.
Called "Hidden In Plain Sight," the presentation will include a mock teen bedroom that challenges adults to find drug- and alcohol-related items that most would never be able to find. Adults will be able to walk through and experience a hands-on search for clues of high-risk behavior. Adults will learn more about drug trends and signs such as concealment areas, hidden containers, clothing, paraphernalia, logos and more.
A police officer will be in attendance to also answer any questions.
