Bethel Schools Report Man Wandering Around School Grounds Tuesday Morning

The Bethel Public School sent out the following automated message Tuesday:

“This morning an individual unknown to school personnel was wandering around the school campus. He was loitering in front of Johnson School. School administration notified the Bethel Police who came and removed him from school grounds. At no time were students or staff in danger. The safety and security of studetns and staff are of the utmost importance to us.We are sending you this communication to keep you apprised of the facts of what occurred this morning.”

Bethel Police Jeffrey Chief Finch told Bethel Patch that the man seemed disoriented and was not in possession of any weapons. Chief Finch stated the gentleman was from Danbury and went to Bethel Schools at one time. The Bethel Police transported the man to Danbury Hospital for evaluation.
