Bethel Senior Housing Complex Undergoing Makeover: Report
A facelift housing complex for low-and-middle-income elderly and disabled residents has begun.
BETHEL, CT — The Reynolds Ridge housing complex is currently being renovated in order to make the units more energy efficient and handicap accessible, reports the News Times.
The housing complex for low-and-middle-income elderly and disabled tenants will undergo a renovation paid for by a $800,000 state Community Development Block Grant. The complex's 80 units will receive new windows, doors and will be brought up to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The grant uses federal money distributed to towns through the state, according to the publication. The additional ADA-compliant units will allow the complex to house more residents with mobility issues.
