Bethel Train Station Expansion: Where Can I Park?

The Metro-North Train Station expansion project begins next week and is expected to run until November. Here are your option(s.)

BETHEL, MA — For the next ten months or so (based on the current construction schedule), the State of Connecticut will be expanding Bethel's Metro North train station. For non-permit holders, parking will become a bit more challenging than normal.

According to a Facebook post from the Bethel Town Clerk, the multi-phase project is expected to be completed by Nov. 1. When completed, the lot will double in size and there will be kiosks to purchase daily permits electronically.

With that in mind, where can non-permit holders park?

According to the Town Clerk's post, those without parking permits can use the municipal lot in the center of town off Wooster Street. The only other options would be to use the Redding and Danbury train stations.

A short term sacrifice for long-term gain, the Town Clerk's post noted that the expansion "will be a blessing" when it is completed.
