BETHEL, CT — Residents passed a plan to build a $2.24 million tank by 660 to 240 votes in a referendum held Tuesday, the News-Times is reporting.
The 500,000 gallon tank is aimed at increasing both the quality of water and the town's capacity to store it. Plans call for the tank to be installed in the woods between Long Meadow Lane and Briar Cliff Manor, with construction to begin as early this spring and completion projected within nine months to a year.
