Bethel's Byrd's Books Continues Spring Poetry Season
The evening will feature a number of local poets.

BETHEL, CT -- Bethel's Byrd's Books celebrates the art of poetry with the third volume of its spring poetry reading series on Friday, May 18th at 7:00 p.m.
The evening of spoken word will feature such recognized Connecticut poet/authors as Amy Nawrocki, who celebrates the preservation and renewal of New England landscapes; Cortney Davis, a nurse practitioner who often speaks to the intersections between health and illness; Emily Carney who "browses the mace bottles on Amazon;" and Jerry Brooker who, among other efforts, has raised more than $1 million dollars in aid to feed the children of the world.
The event is free and open to to the public. Light refreshments will be served and books will be available for purchase. Reservations are available.

Byrd’s Books is a general bookstore that carries only new titles, with a special focus on Connecticut authors, poets, publishers and illustrators. It is located at 126 Greenwood Avenue across from historic P.T. Barnum Square.
