Bethel's Gilleoghan Irish Dance to Perform at Danbury Irish Fest

Gilleoghan’s Irish dancers will kick up their heels on the stage of the Charles Ives Center for the Arts this fall. The dancers will perform traditional jigs, reels and more on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 at the 3-day festival.

The Greater Danbury Irish Festival committee is happy to announce that the Irish Festival will be back at the Ives Center this year on Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015. The festival had been held at the Ives Center for many years, however due to financial and other issues, it had not been held there since 2013. There was no festival in 2014 and in 2013 a mini festival was held at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center’s parking lot.

Committee members have announced the entertainment lineup for 2015:

Friday, Sept. 18, 2015:

• Traveling Danburys - 6 - 7:45 p.m.
• Humble Hooligans - 8:15 - 10 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015:

• Gray School of Dance - 1-1:45 p.m.
• Ale Hounds - 2-3:45 p.m.
• Gray School of Dance - 4 - 5 p.m.
• Celtic Cross Pipe & Drums - 5:30-6:30 p.m.
• Jeff Conlon & Americelt - 6:30-8:15 p.m.
• Mighty Ploughboys - 8:30 - 10 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015:

• Poor Richard - 12 - 1:30 p.m
• Gilleoghan Irish Dance - 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
• Fighting Jamesons - 2:30 - 4 p.m.
• Celtic Cross Pipe & Drums - 4 - 4:45 p.m.
• Cunningham Brothers - 4:45 - 6 p.m.
