Bethel's State Rep. Harding Recognizes CT Office of Higher Education

State Rep. Stephen Harding serves the 107th district of Bethel, Brookfield and Danbury.

State Representative Stephen Harding (R-107) is expressing gratitude to the Office of Higher Education (OHE) for awarding over $1 million in need-based, merit based and academic incentive awards through the Governor’s Scholarship Program (GSP) to the 107th district of Bethel, Brookfield and Danbury.

“Four hundred forty-two of our students this year received an invaluable grant from the OHE, and I am so thankful,” said Rep. Harding. “I understand, from personal experience, how expensive an education can be. But it is so important in today’s economy, and I know there are so many talented young men and women in our district who will benefit from these scholarships as they explore new opportunities, develop their abilities and pursue their dream careers.”

The goal of the GSP is to give every college student living in Connecticut a fair chance at affording a college education. With the GSP scholarship, students at public and private institutions are awarded equally. The award money is the same no matter what school students attend in the state.
