Bethel's Troop 54 Attends Geology Jamboree in New York

Boy Scouts from Bethel's Troop 54 participated in the 17th Annual Geology Merit Badge Jamboree/Campout at Herkimer Diamond Mines, Middleville, NY. The Scouts learned about the principles of Geology and Earth Science, and had a chance to mine for stones of their own. The event took place over the weekend of October 25th to the 27th. On the trip home, the Scouts stopped for a quick hike around Kaaterskill Falls, NY. At more than 260 feet of height, it is one of the tallest waterfalls in the Eastern United States.
