BHS Digital Arts & Sciences Students Win Awards at State Exposition

A press release from Karen Fildes.

The Bethel High School Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences program participated in the Connecticut Student Innovation Exposition this Saturday, May 21, along with more than 1,500 other students from across the state.

Students in the 9th and 10th grade were tasked with solving a real world problem using all of their technology, science and engineering skills in an innovative and creative way. These projects, which student teams worked on throughout the year, were presented to a panel of scientists and other professionals and also communicated through an interactive exhibition booth and website using multiple digital media.

For the second year in a row, the 9th grade "Earth & Energy Essentials (E3)/Digital Media Communication" (DMC) team from Bethel High earned top honors in their division by taking home the awards for Most Promising Project (highest overall score over all categories on rubric), Outstanding Project Exhibition (highest score for presentation and booth categories) and the Outstanding Digital Media (highest score combined for website, presentation “Content” and Booth “Content” categories).
