Faye Green - Vocals. Faye Green captivates audiences with sultry vocals and tireless stage energy. Her band in the 80’s, “Faye and the Funky Allstars” became legendary in Connecticut, blending jazz, blues and funk in an exciting and unique way. She has also performed with the area’s finest musicians on freelance gigs. In addition to entertaining crowds in the CT area, Faye has worked in New York City in many different venues, including the “Apollo Theater”. Faye was voted best Jazz/Blues singer three consecutive years by New Haven’s top music journal “The Advocate”. During her career, Faye spent time on the road opening for national acts such as The Average White Band, Melba Moore, Tower of Power and Tavaras and performing with artists such as Mark Egan and the late Jaco Pastorious.
Michael Coppola - Guitar. Michael Coppola is listed as “The master of the 9 string guitar” in jazz critic Scott Yannow’s book “The Great Jazz Guitarists”. Michael has played at major jazz and guitar events such as the “Montreal Jazz festival, the Namm show and the Chet Atkins festival. He has also played at New York City clubs such as the Blue Note, Knickerbockers and the Iridium , where he was invited to play with the legendary guitarist Les Paul. Michael has several recordings as a leader Including “Return of the Hydra” which was a top ten pick for Coda magazine in 2004. Coppola has been featured in many guitar based magazines such as just jazz guitar, 20th century guitar, guitar player, fingerstyle guitar and more.
Artie Dixson - Drummer. Artie has been one of the top drummers on the East Coast for many years. After studies with Jack DeJohnette, he went on to perform with many well-known artist such as Larry Coryell, Marion Meadows, Ahmad Jamal, Randy Brecker, Michael Bolton, and so many more.
Arti has endorsements from major drum companies such as Sabine and Evans. He has also played in numerous shows such as “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Phantom of the Opera”. Arti has also performed on soundtracks for documentaries such as “Driving While Black” and “Yankees – Dodgers” Arti Dixson is the drummer on Michael Coppola‘s CD “New Impressions”.
John Mobilio - Bass. John Mobilio is a multi-talented musician who, as bassist, educator, musical director and performer brings his joy of jazz and music to audiences and students throughout Connecticut and into New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Living in Middlebury, Connecticut gives John easy access to performance venues in New York City, New Haven, Norwalk, Stamford, Hartford and the Springfield, Mass areas.
John performs regularly with the Chris Coogan Quintet, guitarist Mike Coppolla, vocalist Richard “Cookie” Thomas, and saxophonist Jim Clark. He has recently engineered and performed as bassist on the Chris Coogan Quintet CD Stars and Wind as well as bassist on the Jim Clark CD “Old As New". John has had the pleasure of performing in concert with jazz greats Lewis Nash, Jimmy Cobb, Mike Mainieri, Liam Teague, and Eliot Zigmund and Mike Clark. As a member of the Roylety Steel Pan Caribbean group, John interprets music of the islands on the fretless electric bass. In 2014 John became the bassist for Goldrush - a cutting-edge acoustic country band blending country and bluegrass music.
