Bonding Commission Approves $635K Grant For Bethel Office Park
The funding is expected to cover about half the cost of the expansion of Clarke Business Park in Bethel.
BETHEL, CT — New funding for an expansion of Clarke Business Park is a "go."
The State Bond Commission voted Friday to authorize a grant-in-aid through the Department of Economic and Community Development of more than $635,000 for the expansion and development of four new commercial lots on more than 17 acres.
"Bethel is still working to recover jobs lost in the pandemic and expansion of Clarke Business Park is an integral part of our recovery," said Bethel First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker.

The funding released is expected to cover about half of the project's cost.
State Rep. Allie-Brennan applauded the commission's vote: "Improvements to the business park has been one of my top priorities and the funding comes at an opportune time as we continue to rebuild our local and state economies."

Senators Will Haskell and Julie Kushner also praised the funding approval.
