BREAKING NEWS: Police Report Female Body Found Today in Huntington Park in Redding CT

Bethel, Redding and State police, fire department and state Department of Environmental Protection searched for the body.

According to information received from Officer Zor of the Bethel Police Department:

“At 9:38 a.m. the Bethel Police Dispatch Center received notification from a family member of a despondent female resident who was reportedly in the Collis Huntington State Park and in need of urgent medical assistance.

Bethel Police and the Bethel Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the Park and began a search of the Park, assisted by Redding Police and the State of CT Department of Environmental Protection. Unable to locate the woman, additional assistance was requested from the State Police. At approximately 12:30 p.m. the State Police helicopter located the body of the woman within the park. She was found deceased. No foul play is suspected.

The Department of Environmental Protection is continuing the investigation.”
