Byrd's Books in Bethel Spotlights Local Artist
Bethel artist Linda Hansen-Redamonti is the next featured visual artist to be shown on the shop's walls.

BETHEL, CT -- Alice Hutchinson, owner of Byrd's Books, in collaboration with Bethel Arts, has selected Bethel artist Linda Hansen-Redamonti as the next featured visual artist to be shown on the shop's walls, continuing year-round efforts to spotlight locally-based art amidst its shelves of books.
The exhibition of Linda's artwork opens with a reception (free to the public) on Friday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m.. Byrd's Books is located at 126 Greenwood Avenue, across from P.T. Barnum Square, in Bethel. The show runs through Friday, July 6th.
Linda Hansen-Redamonti said in a media release that "growing up in the beauty of Northern California has distinctly had a far-reaching affect on my art. I am drawn to compositions and themes which allow for the juxtaposition of opposing colors, re-organized to create vibrancy. What began as a desire for accuracy in all of my drawings and paintings soon was overpowered by the strong enchantment with expression of character, feeling and beauty that could be portrayed through the manipulations of colors. I am thrilled to see that my original excitement for complementary colors is still active and in process. Now, as I pick up my art supplies and sit down to my easel, I am finding that my work is new and more complex."
