Celebrate Independence Day with one of Bethel's longest-running traditions.
The 60th Annual John Demille Firecracker 8K Road Race returns on Saturday, July 4, bringing runners of all ages to downtown Bethel for a holiday morning race.
The race begins at 8 a.m. at the Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center and features chip timing, water stations, refreshments and awards for top finishers and age-group winners.
Prize Money:
• $200 — First Overall Male and Female
• $100 — Second Overall Male and Female
• $50 — Third Overall Male and Female
Age Group Awards:
10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+
Participants who registered by June 5 are guaranteed a tech shirt and race packet. Race-day pickup only.
