Take a trip through Bethel's past at the Open House event taking place at the Bethel Historical Society on Saturday June 10th. Town Historian, Patrick Tierney Wild, will present a PowerPoint program entitled "Bethel - Then and Now" highlighting recently discovered and seldom-seen historical photos of a host of locations throughout Bethel. Each photograph will be accompanied by a corresponding current view of the same location to demonstrate the enormous changes that have taken place in Bethel over the last century. Mr. Wild will share facts and anecdotes related to each slide in an effort to provide a greater understanding and appreciation for both Bethel as it is today, and as it was in days gone by.
Questions from the audience or personal reminiscences relating to scenes depicted are always welcome.
