Coronavirus Bethel: Food Pantry Needs Donations
The Bethel pantry is being hammered by an unprecedented demand for their services at a time when their supply chain has become imperiled.
BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Community Food Pantry will be holding another donation drive on May 16.
Currently, Bethel has 417 people in 191 households registered to utilize the food pantry. As with many other food pantries in southwestern Connecticut, the Bethel charity is being hammered by an unprecedented demand for their services at a time when their supply chain has become imperiled. Brotherhood in Action has a summer food delivery approaching, while the Community Food Pantry continues to distribute food twice monthly.
The items in the highest demand include pasta, cereal, sauce, child-friendly snacks, coffee, soup, tuna, mac-and-cheese, small bags of rice, shelf stable juices and small containers of laundry detergent.
