Coronavirus Bethel: Town Hall Closed, Services Move Online

The Bethel Municipal Center will be closed to the public until further notice.

BETHEL, CT —In compliance with Gov. Ned Lamont’s "Stay Home, Stay Safe" executive order, the Bethel Municipal Center will be closed to the public until further notice, Town officials announced Monday. This closure includes the tax collector's office, which had previously remained open.

Residents are being urged to access town services via the following methods:

  • Taxes and utility bills may be paid online, by phone or by US mail. Please see www.bethel-ct.gov and click the "Pay Taxes" box on the left side of the window.
  • To pay bills by phone, please call 855-329-3811 (You will need your bill number in order to pay by phone; please have it ready when you call).
  • Many other transactions involving the offices of the Town Clerk, Assessor and Land Use departments may also be available online. For services that cannot be transacted online, by phone or by US mail, please call or email the department you wish to access directly. Please visit the town website for a department contact list.

All town hall offices will be on duty and staff will be available by phone during normal business hours. The Bethel COVID-19 INFOLINE is 203-794-8530, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
